Much as we can look forward to a great selection of new fashions for the autumn months, there’s also plenty of delicious food trends to enjoy over the coming weeks.
And what’s great is that much like some of these yummy gluten-free recipes, they all seem to be helping us in our pursuit of healthy eating habits so that we can stay in shape whilst enjoying some mouth-watering treats!
We will all know how Deliciously Ella’s cookbooks have been a big success in helping some of us to switch from meat to a plant-based diet. And whilst some of the ingredients like tamari, coconut oil, and miso might be fairly new to our kitchen cupboards, there’s no denying that they’ve proven that healthy recipes don’t have to be bland.
But even if you don’t have time to make some of her signature dishes like the incredible black bean burgers and veggie spaghetti carbonara, then there’s the very welcome news that Deliciously Ella has recently released a range of breakfast products which is great news for anybody who’s tried her energy balls!
It’s yet another sign that vegetarianism and veganism will continue to be big trends this autumn. Alongside the many celebrities like Adele, Miley Cyrus and Natalie Portman who have advocated a meat-free diet, there seems to be many more vegetarian options on food delivery websites like Deliveroo that can help all of us enjoy this clean living trend.
Similarly, our supermarkets seem to be crammed with items that offer all manner of organic, gluten-free and vegan-friendly options. But whilst Deliciously Ella may have been partially behind the trend for rainbow-coloured salads, it seems that our food will be taking a darker turn in the coming months.
This is because black has been singled out as the most stylish food colour this autumn with everything from bagels and pizza to ice cream betraying a very dark hue. And it’s not just the aesthetic values of black food that are striking as it’s also thought that the inclusion of small amounts of charcoal are supposed to have some interesting medicinal benefits too.
But whilst each season seems to bring a reliable dose of alarming food trends – insects anyone? – it seems that we can look forward to plenty of innovative cuisine that not only looks appetising, but tastes amazing and can help us living longer and healthier lives too!
