The vast majority of us probably want clothes that smell good. Instead of relying on your detergent and fabric softener – not everyone wants to use perfumed detergent due to allergies, for example – you can add the scent to your wardrobe, and be surrounded by a good scent both in the home and on your clothes.
But another good trick is to use things you probably already have at home: cotton, glass jars, and perfume. Start by taking out cotton balls, cotton buds, or tissue paper, and spray them with your favorite perfume. When the cotton is wet, put them in some kind of glass jar, preferably a jam jar or similar that you have washed and cleaned.
Then seal the jam jar with some kind of thin fabric that breathes, so that the aroma seeps through. Now all you have to do is set the glass jar somewhere in the closet, and let the scent spread! When you notice that it smells less, it’s time to replace the perfumed cotton pads with new ones.
