Getting volume in your hair is something that many of us struggle with on a daily basis – how do you really get volume in flat hair, and above all make it last a long time?
Therefore, it is perhaps not so strange that a hair styling trend has been brought to life on social media apps such as Tiktok and Instagram, where a simple tool is supposed to help you get proper volume in your hair and make it last for a long time. Videos where the beauty profile tests so-called volume clips or hair root clips started to appear a few years ago, but have recently received a real boost.
How to use the trendy styling clip
In a video that has been viewed over 250,000 times, she shows exactly how to use the styling accessory to achieve maximum volume in your hair. She starts by parting her hair in the middle and then takes a strand of hair that is about a centimeter wide. For maximum effect, she then sprays hairspray into the roots as well.
Then it’s time to bring out the volume clamp. Open the clamp as far as you can and then fasten it over the loop. The trick to getting maximum volume is that the clip is attached right to the scalp.
Once you have attached all of your volume clips to the hair around your face, you can choose whether you want to just let them rest, or if you want to use your hair dryer to add some heat to make it last even better. Then wait 15 minutes before taking out the clips again.
