America is a land of great diversity and a rich history. There is so much to be learnt in this country that it is not possible to cram it all in a history textbook. However, it would be so much better to see those architectural beauties in all their glory. Be it a class trip or a trip with your family, you can easily carpool or get a tour bus rental for this road trip. Renting a tour bus would also is a good way to reduce your carbon footprint while making sure it is easier to coordinate with the rest of the group while you are on your adventure.
Just in case the planning part gets a little difficult, though, here are a few things that you can keep in mind to make the process easier for you overall:
Plan months in advance
To ensure your road trip goes smoothly, you have to start planning months before the trip has even started. This involves doing a lot of things, including, but not limited to, talking to your friends and family to see who will be joining you on the trip, booking accommodations places along your route so you don’t have to sleep in a car or bus, chalking the said routes and the pit stops, renting out the tour bus you all will be travelling, and, most importantly, making financial decisions. Since all of this involves a lot of work, it’s better if you ask someone to help you out.
Choose the perfect transportation
If you go on the internet, you will find there are various websites that rent out different types of tour buses catering to diverse tour groups. Whether it is a class trip or a retreat with your colleagues or a road trip with your family, these websites will tell you exactly what kind of bus would be perfect for your group. All you have to do is create an account there, fill in some details and you’re good to go. After you have done the formalities, you will be asked about what kind of bus you prefer. If you don’t know what the best option might be, here’s some info that will be of help while choosing:
- If there are more than fifty people going on the trip then you can choose a coach bus for the trip. A coach bus is the largest of the chartered buses, they have reclining seats, air conditioning, Wi-Fi and on-board bathrooms. These buses also tonnes of storage space. The charter buses are the amongst the most luxurious of the lot. Everyone gets a lot of space to relax and have fun while on the road, which is pretty much the point of a good roadtrip.
- There is the minibus, the larger ones can seat around thirty people at once. The smaller ones can seat around twenty people. They don’t have bathrooms as they are used for shorter distances.
- The classic school bus is a pretty safe mode of transportation. It can seat around forty people at once. If it is a one-day trip for a class, a school bus would be quite ideal.
- The party bus isn’t very ideal for a road trip. That’s because it has seats along the edge of the bus instead of in rows, it will not be that comfortable for a road trip.
There are more luxurious options also. One is called the Entertainer Bus. These types of buses are used by celebrities while they are on tour. They can hold around ten people, are spacious, have on-board bathrooms, a kitchen, a lounge and a suite and some sleeping bunks. Basically, this would be an ideal bus if you are willing to spend a little more money for a long road trip.
